About Bulgarian Ethnology and Ethnologia Bulgarica

 

This journal is peer-reviewed (ISSN 1310–5213, е-ISSN 2367-6892) and it is published by the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Studies with Ethnographic Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. It was founded in 1975 and until 1995 was released under the title Bulgarian ethnography” as an edition of the Ethnographic Institute with Museum – Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

The journal is published in Bulgarian language in four issues per year with short summaries in English and with information about the authors and their affiliation in Bulgarian. Every article is peer-reviewed by two anonymous scholars.

In its full electronic version, “Bulgarian Ethnology” can be read and downloaded freely from Central and Eastern European Online Library. In CEEOL are uploaded all the issues of the journal since its foundation.

An English version of the edition is the journal ETHNOLOGIA BULGARICA. Yearbook of Bulgarian Ethnology and Folklore (ISSN-1311-0918, e-ISSN 2367-8607). It comprises selected texts from the previous two years and is first published in 1998. Up to January 2020, its issues are six (1998, 2001, 2006, 2015, 2017 and 2019).

The journal "Ethnologia Bulgarica" is available with free access in electronic version in the Central and Eastern European Online Library - CEEOL.
